Terrell Henderson is a dedicated social service professional with over 15 years of experience serving San Francisco Bay Area youth and families. He is passionate about seeing youth and young adults overcome personal obstacles and challenges. Raised in the Fillmore/Western Addition community of San Francisco, his personal experience enables him to relate to those he serves and empower them to change.

Terrell began his career in social service as a case manager, group facilitator and coordinator at the SF Sheriff's Department's Post Release Education Program. In 2004 Terrell joined the YMCA as a Program Director for the Truancy Intervention Program with Urban Services, working collaboratively with agencies from the private and public sector. Soon after, Terrell became the program director for the OMI Safe Haven, a violence prevention and intervention program serving high-risk high school aged students.

As a Social Worker Associate with the Wraparound Project, Terrell serves as a community liaison, provides case management services, and advocates for youth and young adults who are victims of violent crimes, and system-involved youth.   Terrell also contributes to the growth of Wraparound by developing support programs, such as a men's group focusing on male empowerment by providing a platform for men to support one another.

Terrell sees each moment he works with youth, as an opportunity for change. His message to every youth he serves is that it is never too late to turn it around and to begin a fresh start.  He lives by the quote of one of his personal role models, Ray Lewis, "before anything great is really achieved, your comfort zone must be disturbed." Terrell's hope is that young people will see him as a resource to actuate the transformation they each desire to achieve.
